Motivation
Inception is a 2010 science fiction action film. The film stars a professional thief who steals information by infiltrating the subconscious of his targets. He is offered a chance to have his criminal history erased as payment for the implantation of another person’s idea into a target’s subconscious (text via Wikipedia). I enjoyed the movie very much.

I think the storyline is very well developed. The idea to build a heist around lucid dreams and give them some determinable properties is very intriguing.

Even though the hallway fight and the city bending scenes are the most recognizable movie scenes, my mind was more caught in the slow motion scene of the van falling backwards into the sea. Of course, this scene is remarkable as well as since it marks the synchronized kick (collapse of all levels of dreams back to reality). Wikipedia claims that this fall into the sea took one day to film.

Hans Zimmer’s music is wonderful as always

Marion Cotillard as Mal Cobb was an interesting femme fatale triggering emotions adding an indirection of confusing.

I watched the “How I Wet your mother” Simpsons episode afterwards. It features some scenes of the movie. I think the references are funny. Especially the family skiing down the mountain.
Good movie, highly recommended 🙂
